York College Life Science

Paragon Engineering Services was hired by the Mechanical Contractor to provide 2D MEP Coordination drawings for the renovation of an approximately 67,000 sq.ft. Life Sciences Building at York College of Pennsylvania. The building is made up of three stories of classrooms, labs, offices and a fourth floor, lower level mechanical room. The mechanical systems consisted of multiple natural gas boilers for heating, chillers & cooling towers for cooling, packaged air-handling units for pre-conditioned outdoor air supply, and hot water/chilled water zoned fan coil units. Coordination consisted of all piping (plumbing, heating/cooling, storm water), plumbing and mechanical equipment, hvac ductwork, lighting and electrical equipment, working with the sprinkler contractor for the wet pipe sprinkler system, and field survey of all levels of the existing structure.
